Advertising at Last.fm

Last.fm, the popular music streaming service has added a new element to it's offerings by creating a 'personalised visual radio experience'.

'The new player provides advertisers and sponsors with unique visual branding opportunities to reach Last.fm's audience in a more immersive manner than that of audio advertising.'

Last.fm is now able to open their doors to a wealth of advertisements and sponsors. Before the change, once the simplistic audio player was loaded, there was no sticking element that would keep you fixed visually on the page. Their move away from just audio and now into visuals is one which they believe adds value to advertisers as visitors have more of a reason to look at the pages. Last.fm hopes the music videos and constant streaming artist images will draw users to the advertisements and will offer a more pleasurable experience for the music enthusiast.
